Model of elders’ activity via their interactions with social networks

Presented by: Anastasia Yartseva

The goal of this study is to model and analysis the activity of elders. The activity is composed of the social interactions and their behavior while being alone. Recent studies showed that the too monotonous every day activity is a favorable base for the rapid development of cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. We used a non-intrusive web communication screen for logging the activity of elders at home and their interactions with the exterior world. The virtual representation of their social networks was constructed. The density of these networks was analyzed. The correlation was found between the levels of activity of elders recorded through the web communication screen and between their biological ages.
